At the foot of the mountains that surround Lake Chapala, Rancho la Salud Village is an intentional community by design, not by accident under an adapted Cohousing model that proposes coexistence, social awareness, and sustainability for a healthy and integral life.
THE DEVELOPMENT: The development, with controlled access, has 37 perfectly planned units, with amenities such as; heated pool and jacuzzi, common “palapa”, common house (with 3 bedrooms, TV room, kitchen, living room and dining room), common organic gardens, wellness space (gym, yoga and massage area), more than 21000 sq ft of green areas, security, entrance hall, composting area, the entire area is CO2-free (no gas or gasoline-powered vehicles are used inside the development), among others.
THE RESIDENCE: Designed and inspired by the Mexican and local architecture of Ajijic, distributed on one floor and with the intention of optimizing ventilation and natural lighting to reduce energy consumption. A fully electric kitchen with granite countertops connected to the living room, dining room and terrace area, covered beautiful handcrafted vaulted ceilings and walls with local stones that give a cozy feeling. Two bedrooms with bathroom and full closet of pine wood, laundry area and half bathroom for visitors, both with a small terrace. The classic Mexican-style front porch and gazebo, accompanied by a 16 ft front garden to appreciate the beautiful afternoons. A Roof Top to enjoy the view of the mountains with access by a spiral staircase.
SUSTAINABILITY: This unit is a 100% eco house, it has sustainable technologies that allow efficient energy consumption and reduce the environmental impact footprint, such as: solar panels and heater, osmosis drinking water system, water collection of rain, biodigesters to recycle water, 2 water tanks of 5 thousand liters, among others.
DESIGN: Our architecture team has taken care of the finishes in the best way so that it is an authentic design with its own identity, modern but with pre-Hispanic techniques and local materials. Walls covered with flagstone, brick vaulted ceilings, Talavera mosaics, brick construction, arched doors and windows, hand-forged blacksmith doors, moldings, among others.
